Reportedly the color Black was big in the UK and is expected to make a showing here in the USA. Somehow Black is antipodal to the idea of" light in the darkness", but some people are going for black Christmas trees . The way to decorate them is with sparkly "silver, gold, crystals". But what else is on the palette for Christmas 2006? |

"Kellemes Karacsunji Unnepeket" (Abundant Christmas Holidays), "Boldog Karacsonj" (Merry Christmas) in Magyar, and candy for Christmas is "szalon cukor". You can decorate your tree in festive Hungarian style and include some of the wonderful baked goods that Hungary is famous for! Cleveland Hungarian Heritage Museum has delightful Christmas pages from which I found the interesting information on Hungarian Honey Hearts.

I am starting to rebuild my compilation of the best Christmas sites on the web. We need all the great ideas and good recipes, crafts ideas, and inspirations we can get- that is what makes Christmas special. Our celebration of Christ's coming to the earth, the evidence of how much our Creator, the Father in Heaven loved us and cared for us, is a response of gratitude ... and magnification of that point in time. That is why we put so much effort into showcasing this holiday. Giving attention to this gracious act on the part of God seems to enfold us in that same spirit of graciousness ourselves...which is why so many respond to the love of Christmas.
