What would have happened had Noah not obeyed God’s command? It is unthinkable. We take for granted that Noah did what God requested, made the ark according to plan and collected all materials for this giant undertaking. He made it ready for God to bring the animals two by two for their survival, and for his own family. The world as we know it was given a new chance.
Todays scripture reading is the account of Noah and the flood from Genesis 6.
Animals in the Ark
Today’s surprise consists of animals! Animal cookies can be made from your own cutouts or buy ready-made then ice and decorate in fantasy colors, construct an ark full of animals you hang on your tree.
Or make a Jesse tree origami project.
Another project is to paint a beautiful rainbow to remember that God keeps His promises.
Origami Projects for Advent
Bird Using White Paper
First the origami directions for a bird. One of the easiest folds is the crane. 
It is also one of my favorites for its gracefulness and pleasing angles, since it stands for peace it is perfect for decorating a tree in honor of the Prince of Peace, Jesus!
For the crane you will need a square piece of origami paper for each crane.

Boat Shape
Fold a boat shape to hold small animal cookies.
For each boat you will need a regular piece of letter size paper. Stiffer paper makes a stronger boat, but requires great skill and a flat tool to make creases. Normal weight paper is easiest for beginners, and can hold a few animal crackers.
