I personally discovered the tradition for a Jesse tree advent while writing this blog. Our family had begun the Advent log for each day’s devotions when my children were quite little. In my own childhood, I grew up with the Advent wreath with four candles. Since exploring different cultural ways to celebrate Christmas, the single countdown candle has also come to my attention. So many ways to observe this rich and meaningful time of year!

For those unfamiliar with this tradition, a small tree is used to hang one symbolic ornament for each day of Advent.
